Devote® P18 is a polyamide hot melt adhesive product with good fluidity, solvent resistance, and high temperature resistance. It has good adhesion to filter paper and is suitable for bonding and fixing operations in automotive air filters, oil filters, electronic components, machinery and electrical appliances, textiles and clothing, etc.

The core characteristics of polyamide (PA) hot melt adhesive for folding automotive filter elements are as follows:
1、 High temperature resistance and stability
Wide temperature range tolerance: PA hot melt adhesive can withstand high temperatures of 160 ℃ for a long time, 200 ℃ for a short time (such as engine compartment conditions), and maintain flexibility at low temperatures of -40 ℃
Creep resistance: Compared to EVA adhesive, PA adhesive has a lower deformation rate under continuous load, making it suitable for long-term vibration environments of filter cartridges
2、 Adhesive and mechanical properties
High strength bonding: With a shear strength of 1.8-2.5MPa, it can firmly bond filter paper to metal/plastic frames and resist high-speed airflow impact
Chemical corrosion resistance: Tested by soaking in 135 ℃ engine oil for 192 hours, it is resistant to fuel and acidic gas corrosion, extending the life of the filter element
3、 Process adaptability
Fast curing: Open time of 5-10 seconds, suitable for automated production lines (such as spiral spraying and scraping processes).
Low VOC environmental friendliness: solvent-free, non irritating odor, in line with the environmental standards of the automotive industry

Advantages and characteristics of polyamide PA hot melt adhesive
- Compared to EVA hot melt adhesive, polyamide hot melt adhesive has better flowability, smoother dispensing, and increased production;
- The curing speed of EVA hot melt adhesive is relatively slow, while Shuntian hot melt adhesive has a fast curing speed and does not require fan cooling, saving energy consumption. Low pressure injection molding hot melt adhesive materials can be cured in as fast as 0.8 seconds;
- EVA hot melt adhesive has poor low-temperature resistance, while polyamide hot melt adhesive has superior low-temperature resistance and is not afraid of severe cold tests.
- The application of polyamide hot melt adhesive in the automotive filter industry has a strong three-dimensional folding effect, which enhances the appearance of the product and increases its added value;
